+ Additional Support in the City of Oakland with Oakland Promise

With Oakland Promise Brilliant Baby you can visit their eligibility page here to discover more about: 1. College Savings Account seeded with $500; 2. Financial literacy programming. 3. Monthly workshops about financial topics, early childhood development, school and childcare options and community resources; 4. Customer service department that can connect you with other local agencies and organizations.

With Oakland Promise Kindergarten to College parents can visit their scholarship fund page here if you have a child in Oakland’s district or charter schools and in grades Kindergarten through 7th grade they may be eligible for their scholarship fund. Sign up today and your child will receive $100 in each of the following grades Kindergarten, 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th (all totaling $500), for as long as they remain in Oakland schools.

With Oakland Promise College Access Oakland high school seniors parents can visit their scholarship page here. If you are a low income family with a child who will be graduating this year with a 2.0 GPA from an Oakland district or charter public school your child may be eligible for a scholarship ranging from $2000-$16000. The student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Or California Dream Act (CADAA) application to apply.
